Lifetime artist care

If the work is damaged in normal use in the years after delivery, Yasin repairs it in person, wherever it hangs. Only travel and accommodation are paid by the collector; natural disasters such as fire or flood, and deliberate damage, are not covered.

Care & display

Laminated safety glass holds together even when cracked, so the work is safe to hang and handle. Hang it where a single directional light — a spot or a window — rakes across the surface; the fractures change as you move.

About the work

The hero, the sword and the head of Medusa — a myth told in fractures.

Perseus and Medusa belongs to the Mythology series by Yasin Uca. The hero raising his sword is drawn in laminated safety glass with hundreds of controlled strikes and backed in black, so every crack becomes a line of light.

This work has been collected and will never be recreated.
