Lifetime artist care

If the work is damaged in normal use in the years after delivery, Yasin repairs it in person, wherever it hangs. Only travel and accommodation are paid by the collector; natural disasters such as fire or flood, and deliberate damage, are not covered.

Care & display

Laminated safety glass holds together even when cracked, so the work is safe to hang and handle. Hang it where a single directional light — a spot or a window — rakes across the surface; the fractures change as you move.

About the work

The cracks know that story.

Caesar is an original broken glass portrait handcrafted by Yasin Uca, created on 2 April 2025. This one-of-one broken glass artwork reimagines Julius Caesar — the man who rewrote the rules of power — through intentional fracture on laminated safety glass.

Several hundred controlled hammer strikes transform cold glass into a surface where authority and vulnerability meet. This unique glass artwork captures the contradiction at Caesar’s core — absolute power rendered in controlled destruction, each crack telling the story of a man undone by those closest to him.

Framed in a black 6063 aluminium frame. This handcrafted broken glass portrait has been collected and will never be recreated.
