Commission a work like this
This original has been collected and will never be reproduced. Yasin can create a completely new work from your own photographs, with the same hand-fractured technique.
Lifetime artist care
If the work is damaged in normal use in the years after delivery, Yasin repairs it in person, wherever it hangs. Only travel and accommodation are paid by the collector; natural disasters such as fire or flood, and deliberate damage, are not covered.
Care & display
Laminated safety glass holds together even when cracked, so the work is safe to hang and handle. Hang it where a single directional light — a spot or a window — rakes across the surface; the fractures change as you move.
About the work
This is the only place she was ever made real.
Zantréa is an original broken glass portrait handcrafted by Yasin Uca — a one-of-one broken glass artwork bringing a fictional figure into permanent existence through intentional fracture on laminated safety glass. Created on 18 June 2025.
Several hundred controlled hammer strikes transform cold glass into a surface rich with tension, light and story. Zantréa is not a portrait of a person — it is the portrait of a presence, capturing flawless beauty through controlled destruction.
Framed in a black 6063 aluminium frame. A single original that will never be recreated. A portrait like Zantréa can be commissioned from your own photographs.
